We all love to dress up. Isn’t it wonderful to browse the stores and buy new clothes. We feel comfortable in our own skin when we’re dressed nicely.
But do we also think about how these beautiful dresses were produced? What influence the production has on our climate and nature?
The fashion industry has a disastrous impact on the environment:
- 20% of industrial water pollution comes from textiles treatment
- 1.5 trillion liters of water is used by the fashion industry every year
- 1 kg of chemicals is needed to produce 1 kg of textiles
- 70 million trees are cut down each year to make our clothes
AWARENESS is strongly focused on promoting responsible, sustainable, and mindful fashion.
We are re-envisioning a future where AWARENESS has a positive impact on ethical and environmental concerns while providing a platform for new industry opportunities.
AWARENESS believes the fashion community has an opportunity to not only affect positive social change, but also lead the charge in overcoming the hurdles we face in strengthening our environment.
